It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Congratulations to KIRK MILLER, who wins Limerick of the Week for this funny verse:<\/p>\n

\nThere\u2019s a cop with a dog that is mine
\nAt my door, which could be a bad sign.
\n“By the roadside,” he said,
\n“Dog gave birth.” Why my dread?
\nI\u2019ll be getting a littering fine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Jon Gearhart, Colleen Murphy<\/a>, Sue Dulley, Byron Miller a\/k\/a Errol Nimbly, Allen Wilcox, and Tim James. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

This new hot, kinky girlfriend of mine
\nHas a fetish for feet, which is fine.
\nShe likes squatting on toes,
\nAnd you’re right to suppose
\nThat for her I’ll be toeing the line.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Colleen Murphy: <\/p>\n

A well-to-do uncle of mine
\nStill active at aged ninety-nine
\nFinds women adore him;
\nFor dates they implore him,
\nAllured by his big dollar sign.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sue Dulley:<\/p>\n

The depths of my psyche I’ll mine;
\nI’ll even resort to red wine
\nTo dredge up a verse,
\nBe it florid or terse,
\nWith an actual rhyme in each line.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jon Gearhart: <\/p>\n

If I had a big diamond mine,
\nI’d make your life truly divine.
\nIf our love life went daft,
\nI’d get stuck with the shaft,
\nBut my rocks would remain wholly thine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Byron Miller:<\/p>\n

“My diction\u2019s just fine, in the mine,”
\nThought Eliza, repeating her line:
\n“Dr. Iggins\u2019 all weht,
\nAnd I\u2019ll mike you a beht
\nThat it doh even rine up in Spine.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Allen Wilcox:<\/p>\n

\u201cI play football. My future is mine.
\nMy knowledge of logic is fine.
\nI now will give voice
\nTo my difficult choice;
