As companies downsize and trim,
\nThe outlook for some folks is grim.
\nThose in theater? Don’t be
\nToo surprised if you see
\nThat it’s curtains for you (likely scrim.<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Fred Bortz<\/a>, Kirk Miller, Brian Allgar, Byron Ives, Way2fractious a\/k\/a Noisemaker<\/a>, and Allen Wilcox. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

Fred Bortz:<\/p>\n

When he went to the mohel for a trim,
\nHe avowed, “My conversion’s no whim.
\nIt’s for wedding night pride.”
\nSaid the mohel, “Bless your bride!”
\nThe groom winked and replied, “It’s for him.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kirk Miller:<\/p>\n

When some branches of bushes I trim,
\nI am hit in the eye by a limb.
\nThe impact imparts
\nA whacking that smarts.
\nI\u2019ve been bushwhacked. I\u2019m feeling quite grim.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Brian Allgar: <\/p>\n

She was elegant, pretty and trim;
\nI was bursting with sexual vim,
\nBut my hard-on regressed
\nWhen the hooker undressed
\nAnd I found that the \u201cher\u201d was a \u201chim.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Byron Ives:<\/p>\n

Crazy Kim was out painting her trim
\nWhen a sheriff showed up, very grim:
\n\u201cSince you shot at John Dunn
\nWith a blank starter gun,
\nYou\u2019ll be charged with a race crime, Miss Kim.\u201d\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Way2fractious:<\/p>\n

Her body was svelte, sleek and trim,
\nFor herself (and to look good for him),
\nLest her frame become dense
\nAnd he stray o\u2019er the fence\u2013
\nSuch domestic noblesse that we limn!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Allen Wilcox:<\/p>\n

The pilot was trying to trim,
\nAnd the margin of error was slim.
\nHe leveled off \u2019round
\nTwenty feet underground –
\nA landing admittedly grim.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
