Today\u2019s limerick and haiku theme is walking.<\/em>\u00a0First, my limerick:<\/p>\n

Ode To A New York City Walk Signal
\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n

Oh WALK light, you change way too fast.
\nYour pedestrian green doesn’t last.
\nYou force me to run
\nCross the street, which ain’t fun.
\nSo thanks for this cumbersome cast.<\/p>\n

And now, my walking<\/em>-related haiku:<\/p>\n

Solitary stroll
\nTo escape the telephone.
\nCell phone outsmarts me.<\/p>\n
