It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> <\/p>\n

A woman was perched on the floor.
\nShe threw down her sponge and she swore
\nAnd yelled at her gent:
\n“That is not what I meant
\nWhen I told you to use the back door!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to KEVIN AHERN<\/a>, who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

A lady was pacing the floor
\nOf my favorite gardening store.
\nShe wanted a chance
\nTo talk about plants,
\nBut I\u2019d never seen herbivore.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) David McCormick a\/k\/a AdamantYves<\/a>, Konrad Schwoerke, Byron Miller a\/k\/a Errol Nimbly, CJ@ProArtz<\/a>, and Allen Wilcox. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

The boxer lies flat on the floor.
\nThe referee\u2019s count reaches \u201cFOUR!\u201d
\nPirouetting, he then
\nBegins counting again…

Konrad Schwoerke: <\/p>\n

I was showing my moves on the floor.
\nThis chick cheered, so I knew I could score.
\nThen we walked to the car
\nWhere I said, “Here we are.”
\nBut my mom wouldn’t open the door.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Byron Miller: <\/p>\n

I’ve got babies all over the floor.
\nThey turn up at my door more and more.
\nI may soon blow a gasket —
\nEach day brings a basket
\nThat’s tagged “Made in El Salvador”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

CJ@ProArtz:<\/p>\n

Dora screwed the old salts on the floor.
\nScrubbing up wasn\u2019t much of a chore.
\nWhen they rolled from on top
\nShe retrieved a wet mop
\nTo push seamen right out the back door.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Allen Wilcox: <\/p>\n

The Speaker demanded the floor,
\nGrabbed the mike and then let out a roar:
\n\u201cThe POTUS is lazy.
\nHe\u2019s driving me crazy.
\nNow back to my nap \u2013 let me snore.”\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
