Joyous Ode To Beethoven’s Ninth

Ludwig’s final symphony
\nOn May the 7th first was played.
\n1824’s the year
\nThat music history was made.<\/p>\n

Many critics called it “monstrous,”
\n“Tasteless” swipes undeftly writ.
\nAudiences felt its joy,
\nAnd that’s about the size of it.<\/p>\n

(I was trying to be subtle. But apparently, most people need a sound track to get what it is that I was doing in that poem. Sigh….
