{"id":2594,"date":"2010-07-04T18:30:15","date_gmt":"2010-07-04T22:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/?p=2594"},"modified":"2010-07-05T00:56:04","modified_gmt":"2010-07-05T04:56:04","slug":"troilus-cressida-hudson-valley-shakespeare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/2010\/07\/04\/troilus-cressida-hudson-valley-shakespeare\/","title":{"rendered":"Get Thee To Troilus And Cressida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you enjoy Shakespeare performed beautifully in a magnificent setting, don&#8217;t miss the <a href=\"http:\/\/hvshakespeare.org\/\"> Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival<\/a> at the Boscobel Restoration in Garrison, New York.<\/p>\n<p>Troilus and Cressida opened July 3rd, and it was terrific.<\/p>\n<p>We started the evening with a delightful picnic on Boscobel&#8217;s Hudson River grounds, then moved into the tent for an inventive performance of the baudy, Trojan tale.  <\/p>\n<p>Things got even more unusual in the Second Act, which began with a quirky, yet oddly fitting musical number. After the music, the audience members were welcomed to leave their seats temporarily, walk down to the Hudson River, and view the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/madness\/2010\/07\/02\/independence-day-verse\/\"> holiday fireworks display<\/a> that was about to take place across the river at West Point.<\/p>\n<p>Once the fireworks were over, we returned to our seats and the play continued.
