(It\u2019s a two-verser, but a standard one-verse limerick is fine, of course.)<\/p>\n<p>Pompous Limerick<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>A pompous conductor named Clyde<br \/>\nWas worshipped by fans far and wide.<br \/>\nBut his beat was unclear<br \/>\nAnd he had a bad ear,<br \/>\nSo the orchestra cheered when he died.<\/p>\n<p>I suppose such behavior is rude<br \/>\nAnd betrays an extremely bad &#8216;tude.<br \/>\nBut I can not abide<br \/>\nBad conductors like Clyde<br \/>\nWhose conducting deserves to be booed.<\/p>\n<p>Please feel free to write your own limerick using the same first line and post it in my comments.
