Congratulations to Colleen Murphy<\/a> and Steve Whitred<\/a>, who are tied in winning this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award:<\/p>\n

Colleen Murphy: <\/p>\n

I finished in third to last place
\nIn a fifteen kilometer race.
\nOf the two folks I beat
\nThere was one with club feet
\nAnd the other, his leg in a brace.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Steve Whitred: <\/p>\n

They think home is the “weaker sex” place,
\nAnd they won’t address issues of race.
\nIf there’s one thing they dread,
\nIt’s two men in a bed.
\nSay “hello” to the GOP base.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mr. Speaker, it\u2019s time to replace
\nYour obstructionist stance with some grace.
\nObamacare\u2019s law.
\nYour bill sticks in my craw,
\nAnd it\u2019s time now to cut to the chase.<\/p>\n

A blackmail approach has no place
\nAnd your Tea Party wing\u2019s a disgrace.
\nFund the government\u2019s work,
\nPay our bills — we can\u2019t shirk
\nOr our country will lose more than face.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jane Shelton Hoffman: <\/p>\n

A woman had just lost her place
\nIn line to a big girl named Grace.
\nGrace elbowed her side
\n“Move over!” she cried.
\n“Or else I’ll have to pee in a vase!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Craig Dykstra: <\/p>\n

From the bar, we went back to my place
\nWhere a secretive look crossed her face.
\nWell it turned out that \u201cshe\u201d
\nWas more well hung than me.
\nThat\u2019s an image I\u2019d like to erase.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
