It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Congratulations to WILL T. LAUGHLIN<\/a>, who wins Limerick of the Week for this funny verse:<\/p>\n

She gave the poor doctor a kick
\nThat laid him out flat as a brick.
\nShe completely forgot
\nHe was giving a shot
\nWhen he said, \u201cYou may feel a small prick.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to COLLEEN MURPHY<\/a>, who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing like feeling her kick
\nOr hearing her little heart tick.
\nI am glowing with pride
\nAs she\u2019s growing inside
\nAnd I think of the name I will pick.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Chris Doyle, Ailsa McKillop, Don Wilkie, Raphael Harris, Fred Bortz<\/a>, Colleen Murphy<\/a>, and Craig Dykstra.<\/p>\n

\nOut of Penthouse’s sexy and slick

Ailsa McKillop: <\/p>\n

A woman was battling to kick
\nHer craving for cheeseburgers (thick)
\nWith fries on the side.
\nToo great the divide
\nBetween that, and a celery stick.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Don Wilkie: <\/p>\n

The Jabberwock hunter’s new kick
\nIs a diet: “Lose twenty pounds quick!”
\nHe gave up all his snacks;
\nNow when Jabby attacks,
\nHis vorpal blade only goes “snick.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Raphael Harris: <\/p>\n

There once was a fellow named Kick,
\nWho had an extremely small dick.
\nThe girls called him ‘Mrs.’,
\nBut after some kisses,
\nIt grew to the size of a tick.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fred Bortz: <\/p>\n

I have gone on a limerick kick
\nSince encount’ring Mad Kane and her clique.
\nMy humor, once gaudy,
\nAscended to bawdy,
\nAnd will soon reach the summit of schtick.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Colleen Murphy: <\/p>\n

The habit I swear I will kick
\nIs the one where I\u2019m turning a trick,
\nCause at aged ninety-one
\nIt\u2019s just not any fun.
\nNo more Thomas or Harry or Dick.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Craig Dykstra: <\/p>\n

Miss Lewinsky’s career was a kick,
\n‘Til the tryst with an Arkansas hick.
\nIt then ended quite soon\u2013
\nLike a children’s balloon,
\nIt was done in by one little prick.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
