Half-Baked Plan (Multi-Verse Limerick)

A baker would frequently groan
\nAbout needing a sizable loan
\nTo build up a co
\nThat would make her some dough,
\nIn a quite disagreeable tone.<\/p>\n
Her fam’ly kept warning her: “Groans
\nSimply aren’t conducive to loans.
\nYou must demonstrate spine
\nAnd you never should whine.
\nWhy not bribe all the lenders with scones?”<\/p>\n
She brought some fresh scones to the bank.
\nThey were primo — she had them to thank
\nFor an influx of cash.
\nSo she threw a big bash
\nAnd got baked — ended up in the tank.<\/p>\n
Hung over, she signed a bad lease;
\nHer new landlord sure knew how to fleece.
\nAnd business was dicey,
\nThe scones way too pricey–
\nHer sale price was ten bucks a piece.<\/p>\n
So her scone bus’ness quickly went under,
\nHer finances torn quite asunder.
\n“My expenses have grown,”
\nShe’d moan on the phone
