Then, suddenly, it was gone.  <\/p>\n<p>Several years went by, and hubby Mark and I had just about given up on ever getting good New Orleans food again, short of flying to Louisiana.  And then, the unimaginable happened &#8212; a postcard arrived announcing that <a href=\"http:\/\/cookingwithjazz.com\/\"><em>Cooking With Jazz<\/em><\/a> had reopened, this time in Jamaica Estates, Queens.<\/p>\n<p>Oh joy!<\/p>\n<p>Within days we were dining at the new <em><a href=\"http:\/\/cookingwithjazz.com\/reviews.html\">Cooking With Jazz<\/a><\/em>, and it&#8217;s  even better than we remembered.<\/p>\n<p>And so, a limerick in honor of chef-owner Steve and the wonderful <em>Cooking With Jazz<\/em> restaurant:<\/p>\n<p><em>Cooking With Jazz<\/em> (Limerick Review)<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a Cajun oasis in Queens<br \/>\nWith authentic cuisine, New Orleans,<br \/>\nAnd the Creole pizzazz<br \/>\nAt <em>Cooking With Jazz<\/em><br \/>\nSurely rivals all Big Easy scenes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For many years, Cooking With Jazz in Whitestone, Queens, New York was one of our favorite restaurants.
