\nWhile in France, it’s the \u20acuro that’s found.
\nHere in U. S. of A,
\nThe dollar holds $way.
\nWhirled trade makes the money-go-round.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to J Cosmo Newbery<\/a>, who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

A professor would often expound
\nA theory, long proven unsound.
\nHe thought a man oughta
\nSwim well underwater.
\nBut sadly, in trying, he drowned.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With fists on the table I’ll pound.
\nI’ll stomp both my feet on the ground.

\nFrom my terrible twos,

Jeff Shirley: <\/p>\n

A woman who spent her last pound
\nBought a plaything to tickle her mound.
\nWhen the batteries failed
\n\u201cLa Dee Da,\u201d she exhaled.
\n\u201cFor the milkman will soon be around.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bruce Niedt:<\/p>\n

A woman who lost just a pound
\nLooked down at her scale and then frowned.
\nSo she quit diet planning,
\nInstead took up tanning–
\nShe\u2019s still fat, but she\u2019s evenly browned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Steve Whitred: <\/p>\n

They gave the poor headboard a pound,
\nAnd the mattress collapsed to the ground.
\nThough they practiced safe sex
\nOn the porch and the decks,
\nIn the bathtub they both nearly drowned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fred Bortz: <\/p>\n

If baloney is sold by the pound,
\nThen the costliest radio sound
\nIs political patter
\nWhere facts never matter
\nAnd untruths and falsehoods abound.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Danielle Nowlin: <\/p>\n

My professor would often expound
\nOn deep thoughts as he roamed far around.
\nHe declaimed as he moved,
\nBut digressed and he proved
\nYou can get a prof lost who\u2019s profound.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

David Lefkovits a\/k\/a Dr. Goose: <\/p>\n

The penis is barely a pound,
\nAnd typic’ly just hangs around,
\nBut with help from tumescence
\nIt gives of one’s essence,
\nA process for which it’s renowned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
