Cap\u2019n Richard, the yacht racing buff,
\nCourts the ladies with confidence bluff.
\nBut his shame, when he fails,
\nTakes the wind from his sails…
\nThat\u2019s the trouble with falling in luff.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to Jane Shelton Hoffman, who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

A fanatical fairy tale buff
\nWas told by his wife, “That’s enough!
\nI have played as Snow White,
\nEven Gretel at night,
\nBut I won’t be a billy goat gruff!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to Diane Groothuis and Will T. Laughlin<\/a>, who jointly win a special Limerick Repartee Award for this limerick exchange:<\/p>\n

The Oxford Shakespearean buff
\nThought things in the old times were tough
\nIt seems rather queer
\nTo lend one your ear
\nJust to bury a king in a huff.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What Antony ought to have said
\nWas: \u201cPlease keep your ears on your head.
\nDigging graves with your ears
\nWould take days, if not years\u2026
\nRomans, lend me your shovels instead!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nFelt it just wasn\u2019t cool

A woman who cooked in the buff
\nShould have stopped with one cannabis puff.

My bod, which has never been buff,

\nOne confronts a decision so tough:
