You won&#8217;t thrive,<br \/>\nCuz you&#8217;re skating on very thin ice.<\/p>\n<p>This limerick was inspired by this news item about a Canadian fellow charged with driving through a red light. He was on his way to a rink <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saultstar.com\/2013\/01\/27\/charged-driver-wears-skates\">and had been driving while wearing ice hockey skates<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Driving with skates \u201cis probably not very safe\u201d because the motorist has limited contact with the brake and gas pedals, said Staff Sgt.
