It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Congratulations to Tim James, who wins Limerick of the Week for this funny verse:<\/p>\n

A Quaker gal just wouldn\u2019t whine
\nWhen a fellow behaved like a swine.
\nThere was no anger flaring
\nAnd — goodness! — no swearing
\nThough she murmured, quite clearly, \u201cUp thine.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to Scott Crowder, who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

A fellow who tended to whine
\nTo his wife if the house didn\u2019t shine
\nPushed her over the edge.
\nNow his breath smells like Pledge,
\nAnd his ass has a fresh scent of pine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Karin Gustafson a\/k\/a Manicddaily<\/a>, Mike Dinicola a\/k\/a Mr. Lim<\/a>, and Johanna Richmond. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

A fellow who tended to whine
\nRemarked while astride the Date Line,
\n“What happens to \u2018when\u2019
\nIf I\u2019m here \u2018now\u2019 and \u2018then\u2019
\nAnd will yester-today e\u2019er combine?”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Johanna Richmond:<\/p>\n

An accountant who tended to whine
\nClaimed she only liked sex while supine.
\nHer turnover rate
\nDeflated her mate
\nWhose dream was a tight bottom line.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
