A gard’ner was asked to explain
\nHow he’d won the 1st Prize once again:
\n“Well, perhaps you should know
\nI use Miracle-Gro
\nPlus a generous dash of Rogaine.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to Craig Dykstra who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

There\u2019s only one way to explain
\n(Though I really don\u2019t mean to complain)

A fellow was asked to explain
\nHis decision to hijack a plane:
\n\u201cI\u2019ve got golf with my mate
\nAnd I mustn\u2019t be late,
\nElse I\u2019d surely have stolen a train.\u201d\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Colleen Murphy: <\/p>\n

The medalist<\/a> tried to explain
\nWhy she stood on the stand in disdain:
\n\u201cI should not have faulted
\nLast night when I vaulted.
\nIt\u2019s not that I\u2019m rude, only vain.\u201d\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bob Dvorak: <\/p>\n

A fellow was asked to explain
\nWhat he\u2019d do if he had half a brain.
\nHe replied with a laugh,
\n\u201cI\u2019d give up on that half,
\nAnd then vote for that rich guy from Bain.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Craig Dykstra: <\/p>\n

My silo guy tried to explain
\nThe glass panel that keeps out the rain.
\n“If it’s not kept intact
\nYour crop rots \u2013 that’s a fact:
\nIt’s a case of No Pane, then No Grain.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Johanna Richmond: <\/p>\n

A fellow was asked to explain
\nA rather embarrassing stain:
\n“My umbrella’s so small,
\nIt topped only one ball
\nAnd the rest was left out in the rain.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Scott Crowder: <\/p>\n

My woman was asked to explain,
\nJust why she was so inhumane.
\nShe screamed, \u201cIT\u2019S BECAUSE,
\nOF THIS DAMNED MENOPAUSE!\u201d
\nI thought she was merely insane.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Diane Groothuis: <\/p>\n

A fellow was asked to explain
\nWhy he spent every night with Helene:
\n“She’s sexy, she’s smart
\nAnd ignores when I fart,
\nAnd I know that she’ll never abstain”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
