I have no idea whether the color red inspires insanity in drivers, or if bad drivers are genetically attracted to it. All I know is that whenever I see a driver doing something spectacularly stupid, he&#8217;s doing it in a flaming red automobile.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But after reading this article about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metro.co.uk\/weird\/902583-red-cars-more-likely-to-be-hit-by-bird-poo-than-any-other-says-survey\">red cars and bird poop<\/a>, I&#8217;m starting to feel a bit sorry for those drivers:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Research in five cities found 18 per cent of red cars were marked with deposits, followed by blue (14 per cent), black (11 per cent) and white (seven per cent). <\/p>\n<p>For the cleanest ride, the best advice, appropriately, is to go green \u2013 just one per cent of that colour was smeared.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But even pity can&#8217;t stop me from writing this limerick:<\/p>\n<p>This Limerick&#8217;s For The Birds<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a riveting fact about birds,<br \/>\nWhich is likely to trigger foul words:<br \/>\nThey like dropping their poo<br \/>\nUpon autos whose hue<br \/>\nIs red &#8212; their pet target for turds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been known to lash out against people who drive red cars: Now I&#8217;m no scientist or statistician.
