A man who is very astute
\nKnows that sometimes it\u2019s best to stay mute.
\nIf your girl asks on chat,
\n\u201cDo you think that I\u2019m fat?\u201d
\nJust pretend that you have to reboot.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to Jane Shelton Hoffman who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

A man who was very astute
\nHad dress stores that made lots of loot.
\nThe women would flock
\nTo buy a new frock,
\nFor his clerks were well hung and quite cute.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Patrick McKeon, Veralynne Bosko Pepper, Scott Crowder, Jamie Hutchinson, Johanna Richmond, and VerseBender.<\/a> Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

Patrick McKeon:<\/p>\n

A man who was very astute
\nAt a concert for lute and for flute,
\nKnew the show would be bad
\nAnd the audience mad,
\nSo he brought a large crate with bad fruit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Veralynne Bosko Pepper:<\/p>\n

A girl who was very astute
\nWas also alarmingly cute.
\nShe\u2019d use men for their money
\nBy promising honey\u2013
\nWhen promise time came she would scoot!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Scott Crowder:<\/p>\n

A gal who was very astute
\nReceived very little repute.
\nAnd because of her dress,
\nShe is doomed to earn less
\nThan a swinging dick wearing a suit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jamie Hutchinson:<\/p>\n

The trombonist was very astute,
\nPlaced behind the young belle who played flute:
\nHe worked his big slide
\nWithout letting it ride
\nAnd \u201cprotected\u201d the girl with a mute.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Johanna Richmond:<\/p>\n

A gal who was hardly astute
\nBut knew how to wink and look cute
\nMorphed from sweet Miss Wasilla
\nTo Fox News Attila;
\nWe all wish she\u2019d stuck to the flute.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Versebender:<\/p>\n

A man who was very astute
\nFound his checkbook just did not compute.
\nSo he said to his wife,
\n\u201cI can\u2019t for my life
\nFigure what you have done with our loot.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
