\nHis friend that last night he’d been laid
\nAnswered this when his chum
\nAsked him, “Well, did she come?”:
\n“Of course she did! What’s more, she stayed!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to Jason Talbott<\/a> who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

A fellow who tried to persuade
\nMe to guess at how much his wife weighed
\nDidn\u2019t mention that she
\nWas right there behind me.
\nI got smacked. Guessed too high, I\u2019m afraid.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Phyllis Sterling Smith, a\/k\/a Granny Smith: <\/p>\n

A woman who tried to persuade
\nBill collectors that bills had been paid
\nSailed off on a cruise
\nWhere they found out her ruse
\nSo de-shipped her and left her to wade.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Craig Dykstra: <\/p>\n

The drill sergeant tried to persuade
\nHis young private that haste should be made.
\n\u201cI don\u2019t mean to shout,
\nBut I need to point out
\nThat\u2019s the pin you threw, not the grenade!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Scott Crowder:<\/p>\n

A fellow who tried to persuade
\nHis wife to lie back while he played,
\nLike a pirate and plunder,
\nHer treasures down under,
\nWas stopped by a Navel blockade.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bruce Niedt:<\/p>\n

Two fellows once tried to persuade
\nTheir dates they were both macho-grade.
\nBut the gals looked and sniggered
\n‘Cos they had them figgered –
\nOne swaggered, the other sashayed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
