It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> <\/p>\n

A man was recounting his woes
\nAfter leaving his gal in the throes.
\n\u201cIf I\u2019d known,\u201d he did sob,
\n\u201cShe was part of the mob,
\nI\u2019d still have ten fingers and toes.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congratulations to Craig Dykstra who wins this week’s Facebook Friends’ Choice Award for this limerick which received the most Facebook “likes.”<\/p>\n

Bambi told Thumper his woes
\nWhen he found out his sisters were ho’s.
\n“They confirm they’re not queer
\nWhen the bucks all stop here \u2013-
\nThey’ll do dese, but they will not do does.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThen he tripped on a root
\nAnd ran over his boot.
\nSo now he\u2019s recounting his toes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ira Bloom:<\/p>\n

A man was recounting his woes,
\nAs he guzzled expensive Bordeaux:
\n\u201cOn my capital gains,
\nTaxes caused me such pains,
\nThat this year I can\u2019t buy more van Goghs.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

David McCormick:<\/p>\n

The Queen was recounting her woes;
\n\u201cOne\u2019s 23rd time in Tussaud\u2019s!
\nAnd each time they\u2019ve sculpted
\nMore wrinkles!\u201d she gulped, \u201cIt
