It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> I’m very pleased to announce the winning Limerick of the Week and the Honorable Mentions:<\/p>\n

Congratulations to SCOTT CROWDER who wins Limerick of the Week for this funny verse:<\/p>\n

A fellow was way off his game,
\nWhen the \u2018Notice of Child Support\u2019 came.
\nThey had fun there\u2019s no doubt,
\nOn that couch that pulled out.
\nHe wishes that he\u2019d done the same.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Phyllis Sterling Smith a\/k\/a Granny Smith<\/a>, Colleen Murphy<\/a>, and Jane Shelton Hoffman. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

A fellow was way off his game
\nOf finding wild beasts he could tame,
\nBut gained recognition
\n(Though NOT by volition)
\nWhen eaten by lions. That\u2019s fame!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Colleen Murphy:<\/p>\n

A fellow was way off his game,
\nSpeed eating his once-claim-to-fame.
\nWhile wolfing down pie
\nSome seagulls flew by;
\nWhat they dropped and his bite were the same.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jane Shelton Hoffman: <\/p>\n

A woman was way off her game.
\nHer sex life was getting too tame.
\nShe perfumed certain parts
\nAnd tattooed on some hearts,
\nBut still with all this, no one came!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
