(Here\u2019s last week\u2019s Limerick Of The Week Winner plus the Honorable Mentions<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

How will your poems be judged? By meter, rhyme, and cleverness. (If you\u2019re feeling a bit fuzzy about limerick writing rules, you can find some helpful resources listed here.<\/a>)<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll announce the Limerick of the Week Winner right before I post next week\u2019s Limerick-Off. So that gives you a full week to submit your clever, polished verse.<\/p>\n

As the new year approaches, men swear
\nThat they’ll finally end their affair.
\nThey’ll diet, work out,
\nLearn to ski, buy some grout.
\nWhat’s their chance of success? Not a pray’r!<\/p>\n
