It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> I’m very pleased to announce the winning Limerick of the Week and the Honorable Mentions:<\/p>\n

Congratulations to KATHY EL-ASSAL who wins Limerick of the Week for this clever verse:<\/p>\n

A guy who was terribly high
\nFrom putting his thumb in a pie
\nHad pulled out a plum
\nSoaked in 50 proof rum
\nAnd said, \u201cHow besotted am I?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nFelt a penis while stroking her thigh.
\n\u201cEven fried as a fritter,
\nI\u2019m not a switch-hitter!
\nI think I\u2019ll keep passing on bi.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ira Bloom:<\/p>\n

\nOn the food chain, at last had to die.
\nHe was known, in his day,
\nTo be quite the gourmet,
\nBut the worms found him tasteless and dry.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Phyllis Sterling Smith a\/k\/a Granny Smith: <\/p>\n

A gal who was terribly high
\nOn a swing-set let out a loud cry:
\n“Chicken Little was right!
\nIt’s a real scary sight —
\nFirst the rise then the fall of the sky!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Johanna Richmond:<\/p>\n

A gal who is terribly high
\nKnows her face looks suspiciously sly;
\nThough she tries to sound grave,
\nMore like straight folks behave,
\nShe\u2019s betrayed by the wink in her eye.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Byron Miller a\/k\/a Errol Nimbly:<\/p>\n

A man who was terribly high
\nHad been living with pigs in a sty.
\nWhen I asked if he knew
\nThat he smelled like a zoo,
\nHe addressed me, \u201coink-oink\u201d in reply.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
