Building That Career (Poetry Prompt)

I hope you’ll join me in writing a limerick with this first line:

An unemployed fellow named Nick…

Here’s mine:

Building That Career

An unemployed fellow named Nick
Had an interview — poured it on thick.
Though a snob, he proclaimed
That he always had aimed
For a job using mortar and brick.

    despite being reborn,
    is “headlining” as Licorice Stick.
