I'm lucky because my power outage is partial and I do have heat. I'm just missing power to all of my overhead lights and half my electrical outlets. People around here sometimes move into each other's homes, if they can find a friend with heat. Some people have backup generators, but that's rare, as are wood burning stoves. Out here in "the woods" of the Pacific Northwest, many of us have wood burning stoves so we can still stay warm when the power goes out. Whatever do folk do who have no back-up source of warmth?
