High Point is next town over from Greensboro and forms “The Triad” with Winston-Salem added into the mix. It’s the Furniture Capital of the World. Anyway, Cary is near to Raleigh and we were over there today to see an exhibit at the Nasher Museum at Duke U.

Thanks so much Katy. Funny, but I was in Astoria just a few days ago. And I’m always in Manhattan.

BBQ and Thai, huh? Not bad, but I can’t live without my Indian. :)

I don’t know where High Point, NC is, but I do have family in Cary, NC.

Hi MadKane!
Popping in from the DIY carnival…LOVED this! I was a NYer for 15 years in Astoria and then Manhattan. I loved Rosemary’s post too as she mentioned some of my favorite haunts. We’re in High Point, NC now and the cuisine can be summed up in 3 words:BBQ, BBQ, BBQ…never seen so many varieties. We also have good Thai food i the area.

Thanks so much Rosemary. I’m so glad you enjoyed it and could relate! As I often tell my husband, they’ll have to drag me out of NYC kicking and screaming. I love NYC and the wide selection of ethnic cuisine is amazing. :)

I absolutely loved this. You submitted it to the blog carnival. And I know what you are talking about because I originally lived in the Bronx for 25 years of my life and I miss it enormously(living in Fl for 13 years). I was in NY in October visiting my daughter who is at Columbia University. We spent the day all over the city and ended up at St. Genaro feast. Oh, just the sight and smell of all of the foods. Just the NY pizza had me drooling. Ended our night at Veniero’s - what more can I say. Being Italian with all of those cookies and pastries - OMG.

Thank you for this. It gave me a good laugh.
